Theme Who do we think we are? The title for this year's Baptist Assembly is Who do we think we are? The 400th anniversary of Baptists in Europe gives the 2009 Baptist Assembly the opportunity to reflect on our rich history of radical commitment to Christ. The Assembly will explore what it means to be committed to religious liberty and to costly discipleship in serving Christ today. And, whatever our personal pilgrimage, if the Baptist family is our home today, what can we learn from a movement born in the context of oppression and persecution, which has always had mission at its heart?
