19th century preacher in a 21st century world   Venue: Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, WC2H 8EP   If Spurgeon were alive today how would he preach? We live in a different age to the one that Spurgeon lived in. The way in which the church engages in Mission has to be relevant and contextual, and so does our preaching. “19th Century Preacher in a 21st Century World” will explore the importance and relevance of both prophetic and other forms of preaching, for a 21st  century congregation. Experienced preachers will be sharing their expertise with us during the conference and help us think outside the box on this still important subject.   Participants to include:   Ruth Gouldbourne, Steve Latham, Peter Morden and experienced preachers from the Jamaican Baptist Union including  Karl Henlin,  Karl Johnson,  Merlyn Hyde-Riley and Glenroy Lalor.

Karl Henlin is former President of the Jamaican Baptist Union.

Karl Johnson is the General Secretary of the Jamaican Baptist Union.

Merlyn Hyde-Riley is the Assistant General Secretary – Youth and Training JBU.

Glenroy Lalor is the incoming president of the Jamaican Baptist Union.
